Linda: I’ve been thinking of buying one for some time now. Ideally I would prefer to use public transport all the time, but my job means I have to have a car. I do a lot of driving around town, and I’d like to feel I was doing something to reduce air pollution.
Presenter: Yes, hybrid cars produce fewer emissions than conventional cars, as well as using less fuel. Now at the moment only two major car manufacturers produce hybrid cars, Toyota and Honda. You chose the Honda Civic hybrid. Why is that?
Linda: I used to drive a conventional Honda Civic, so I was interested in seeing if the hybrid car is similar.
Presenter: And is it?
Linda: Yes. From the outside it looks almost the same. And inside it’s very similar, until you look at the instrument panel. Then you notice a gauge showing fuel consumption, and a display that shows when the electric motor is being used to boost the engine power, and when the battery is being recharged.
Presenter: When you drove the car, how did it compare to the conventional Honda Civic?
Linda: It felt very similar. Sometimes it felt like it had a little less power, but that’s not really a problem when driving round town. The main difference was that it’s quieter, and when you stop at traffic lights the petrol engine shuts down, so it’s completely silent.
According to the audio, what are some benefits she is expecting from the car?

Option 2: "It makes easier for her to cope up with her job"
Explanation: This option is correct as Linda states that her job requires her to have a car. The hybrid car helps her manage her driving needs while also considering environmental factors, thus making it easier for her to cope with her job responsibilities.
Option 1: "It looks classy to drive in"
Explanation: This option is incorrect because the text does not mention anything about the car's appearance or how it looks when driving. Linda's focus is on practical benefits rather than aesthetic ones.
Option 3: "Opportunity to drive a trendy car"
Explanation: This option is incorrect because the text does not indicate that Linda is interested in driving a trendy car. Her focus is on the functionality and environmental benefits of the hybrid car, not on trends.
Option 4: "Sufficient battery power"
Explanation: This option is correct as Linda discusses the hybrid car's features, including the gauge showing fuel consumption and the display indicating when the electric motor is used. This implies that she values the battery power and its efficiency in the hybrid car.
Option 5: "Less fuel pollution"
Explanation: This option is incorrect because while Linda mentions wanting to reduce air pollution, the specific phrasing 'less fuel pollution' is not directly supported by the text. Her focus is more on the overall emissions reduction rather than fuel pollution alone.
